"When my husband was diagnosed with a rare cancer, I was so grateful to have previously signed up with a Family Heritage Cancer policy. The policy has covered all our expenses above our traditional health plan, and allowed us to get a second opinion and choose a treatment center two hours away from home to give my husband the best, most current care for his specific cancer. I am so thankful I signed up with this policy a few years ago!"

December 2002, an insurance agent walks into the office. (insert eye roll) We thought it was a good reason to take a coffee break so we agreed to meet with him. To my surprise, he gave us information regarding specific plans related to Intensive care, heart, and cancer policies. He got my attention with the Cancer policy. Although I was only 37 at the time, I knew first hand that Cancer doesn’t care about your age, if you live a healthy lifestyle or if you have four children from 14 months to 10 yrs. The rates were affordable so I signed up for the Cancer policy, and of course I chose the elite plan. Six years later our office closed, but thankfully I was allowed to keep my policy and transferred from payroll deduction to ACH debit from my checking account. The other girl that also took the policy decided to drop hers. Fast forward to 2011. On a routine mammogram, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were in the end stages of building our house. I was the caregiver for my Dad with Dementia. I had a husband and 13yr old son who depended on me, and I had a job that I had only been at for a year. It’s hard to stay positive with all this going on, but I was determined. One way I was able to keep a bright outlook was my Family Heritage cancer policy. I went into each surgery thinking “at least I’m going to get paid for this”. I went into each chemotherapy thinking “at least I’m going to get paid for this” For me radiation was the toughest. I would go in thinking “I’m getting paid (specific amount) for this”. I was so thankful to have taken this policy out. At the time I was on a high deductible insurance plan and had to meet that deductible twice during my six months of treatment. The money was paid directly to me so I was able to pay my deductibles, buy the pretty wig, and some very comfortable deck furniture to relax in. The money helped us finish little things to get moved into the house and we are living happily every after. Oh yeah, and the girl that dropped her policy was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 months before me. I’m thankful to say she is also a survivor. I just wished she had the same comforts that my Family Heritage gave me. Seventeen years later I’m still paying the same premium and I know if my cancer comes back my Family Heritage will take care of me and my family.

"Never in our dreams did we ever think we would collect when taking out this policy several years ago. Thank you Family Heritage. The medication I am on is quite expensive and your financial help has been a blessing. Anyone asking me - yes take this policy out. You never know when cancer will affect your life. Thank you!!"

"I am so glad that my agent presented this policy to my wife and I. While my wife was going through chemo for cancer this policy paid to us very well. Even after her death this policy continues to pay for treatments during her illness. I recommend this insurance to anyone. This is a great company and my agent is the best ever. Thank you !!"

"We took this policy out in 2006. We never dropped it. We had paid on it for 14 years, and just got a cancer diagnosis in November 2020. Even though we have health insurance, medical bills still came in. Thankfully we had this policy to help pay them along the way. I would advise every young person to take advantage of purchasing a cancer policy. The younger you take out the cheaper it will be. You never know when you will need it. Cancer knows no age, young or old. I would encourage everyone to be prepared because you never know what your future health will be."

"I signed up with Globe Life on September 10, 2020 and had never had any form of insurance. I also acquired BCBS on the same day. On December 18, I was diagnosed with cancer, and had I not had these policies we would’ve had to sell our home. I thank God for Globe Life."

"I am so thankful we decided to enroll in this insurance program many years ago. When you are young you do not think about getting sick let alone getting cancer. We had the policy for several years before needing it. I am so BLESSED for making that decision because when I needed it, it was there for us."

"When I was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer at the age of 52 I was given 8 to 12 months to live. I’m thankful that I am a survivor, but my life has changed. I am unable to work due to side effects of radiation to my brain and brain tumors. That loss of income is devastating, but with the help of Globe Life we were able to take a vacation with our grandchildren who I never thought I would ever have a chance to meet. Thank you."

"Shortly after I began my policy with Family Heritage, I was diagnosed with cancer. Family Heritage paid a lot of the upfront costs and have continued with a monthly payment that has now extended past seven years. The whole point of insurance is that you never know when your health may take a turn for the worse. Family Heritage was there for me when needed most, and I couldn’t be happier with the coverage and timely servicing."
